Hi all,

I have been using Rolands EmailSMTP object n_smtp succesfully in the past , well it still does :)

Recently more and more of our send mails end up either in the spamfolder of the recipient , or for example are simply rejected by gmail with following error

The reason for the problem:5.x.1 - Maximum number of delivery attempts exceeded. [Bounce12h] 421-'4.7.0 This message does not have authentication information or fails to pass\n4.7.0 authentication checks. To best protect our users from spam, the\n4.7.0 message has been blocked.

How can we improve this please ?

TIA

John

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply.

I should have explained more. Our application sends mails to the customers of our customers. So the send from field : is not ours nor our domain , its our customers email adress which is set on their profile and can be anything they like...

So i don't think the SPF DNS TXT record in this case will work...

TIA

John

Hi John,

Make sure you at least create a SPF DNS TXT record for your domain.
