Select Error: SQLSTATE = 42S22
Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server
Invalid column name 'X'.

Getting this error when I am using Synonym for table on other database in SQL Server as source to my DW. I am using below version on MS SQL Server 2019

Hi

I think we need a bit more information, below are some questions and ideas:

1. Can you run the select in the DW against the database in SQL Managemnt Studio, using the same login user? That will elimiante the PB layer and prove you have the correct syntax for your database synonym.

2. If the above works and you still get the error in the DW IDE, can you supply the SQl being used and we can try the same here.

3. Where is the column "X" comming from I wonder?

Adding what David has said,

Can you check whether you have any comments in your SQL? If yes, try removing those comments and check whether that works.
