I need to replace the scroll bar that normally appears in loops.
Does anyone have Powerbuilder code (to be shared) with some nice animation?

Code your own, as per what Roland said.

Those "movies" you see are simply a series of still images, played in sequence in a timed manner.
You can easily do the same thing yourself.

WHY you don't want to use the standard PorgreeMeter is, of course, up to you.  :)

You could create an external DataWindow with a percent column and a Rectangle control. The width property of the Rectangle would have an expression that used the percent column. Then you could add gradient colors on the Background tab to make it look cool.

but I was looking for something more graphic; example: moving images, gifs, small animations, etc.

(windows, in the copyfile, has the folders that make the pyreettes from left to right)
