Resolved SaveNativePDFToBlob Abort

Our application is PB 2019 GA (Build 2082).

Having recently upgraded from 12.5, we are still using Ghostscript and starting to move to NativePDF.

We are trying SaveNativePDFToBlob on a really complex report with 29 nested reports.

SaveNativePDFToBlob aborts. Using SaveAs with NativePDF settings and reading the file into memory works without an issue.

I'm wondering if there have been any bugs fixed in SaveNativePDFToBlob that might solve our problem.

Hi Roland,

As far as I know, so far, we don’t have other customers reporting issues about the "SaveNativePDFToBlob Abort" in PB 2019 GA,  and I also checked that we didn't fix such bugs as your described.

Can you provide a sample PB test case (with PBT/PBL) for us to produce the issue?

And I also suggest you can copy the log.ini file (see the attachment) to the Temp folder (default path: C:\Users\appeon\AppData\Local\Temp\Appeon\NativePDF\Log) to enable the NativePDF log file.

And then you will find that the log file is generated under this folder after you use the SaveNativePDFToBlob function.

Please report this problem to our ticket system:https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug and meanwhile provide these log files and the reproducible test case in the ticket for us for analysis.

Hi Roland;

   That is the GA release of 2019. I would strongly suggest upgrading to MR2170. There were a few PDF fixes from GA to that MR.
