PowerBuilder 2022 Build 1892 and PowerBuilder 2019 Build 2170.

More than one of our customers report that saving reports as Excel12 from our PB application results in an abort.

The common thread is that they are running via RemoteApps or RDWeb. Running the app directly on the RemoteApps server does not abort.

We made sure the correct version of the .Net Framework is installed. I ran a .Net tool against Sybase.PowerBuilder.DataWindow.Excel12.dll and found that for PB 2019 it wants 4.0 and for PB 2022 it wants 4.8. Placing Sybase.PowerBuilder.DataWindow.Excel12.dll in the same folder as the PB app EXE doesn't help either.

There was an entry in Event Viewer but it was just the RDWeb code reference, nothing referencing the PB runtime.

Hi Roland;

  The Excel12 feature uses a .NET Assembly "helper" to your PB App deployment machines need the .Net 4.x runtime installed and the following DLLs deployed within the PB App's EXE folder ... PBDWExcel12Interop.dll, Sybase.PowerBuilder.DataWindow.Excel12.dll

Regards ... Chris
