Resolved RTE controls and colors

Good afternoon.


Our customer is very interested in adding color functionality  to several rich-text edit style columns on Datawindows.
PB 12.6 has this functionality. And as I can understand from studding video from Appeon library PB 2017 doesn't have color functionality for RTF controls.

So my first question is:
Will colors for RTF controls  be added in PB2017 R2 or latter releases?

Also new RTE control is a quiet slow  so we are looking for possibility to use an old  RTE controls. I know that we can choose TX Control ActiveX X14 PRO in target properties but I don't know where I can get this X14 version. On official site only newer X15 version is available for downloading.

We downloaded and installed X15 Trial version and it didn't work.


So my second question is:
Can we use X15 and higher version of TX Control ActiveX or it should always be X14
Also is it possible to test it with Trial version of TX Control or it should be one with valid license key.

Hi Roman,

You require X14 to work with the previous control. You may be able to request that version directly at https://www.textcontrol.com/. Unfortunately you require a license to have it working.

You may also add additional RTE controls as OLE objects. But you would need to test the one that suits you best.
