Resolved Report with nested reports

Powerbuilder 2022, MR 1900.

We have a report with nested reports. When rendered as a preview in our app, there are some parts missing or only partially visible.

When printed on printer or PDF, it looks like it should. A customer wants to see it correctly in a preview too (I can't blame him).

Please check the attachments to see the differences.

The structure of the report consists of 3 layers:

1. a master report

2. on its detail band - a nested report with items

3. on items report, summary band - another nested report with sums.

Summary band height set to 0 and autosize to true.

The last nested report is not visible in a preview.

 

Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce it on a smaller test case.

When trying to increase the height of a summary band to make the nested report visible in a preview, an unnecessary blank space appears in PDF.

Hi Tomáš;

  Unfortunately without a small reproducible test case, this issue will be hard to track down by Appeon Engineering within a Support Ticket.

we can provide a virtual machine where it can be seen on our actual project. I guess I'll open a ticket with this issue.

Yes, that would be awesome thanks!

A VM where we can remote into to introspect the problem is the next best thing to a reproducible test case!
