Hello,

PB 2017, SQL 2012 / MariaDB

Can you throw some light on Ink edit controls and its usage.   My requirement is to store in a text field what's 'written' in a ink edit field using a tablet.  

1.  Will it work out with Surface Pro or any other windows 10 based tablets
2.  Can I save the written notes in a text field.
3.  Have anyone tried this feature to highlight the issues, if any, that need to be addressed

Hi Sivaprakash;

  The INK Control would certainly be able to capture hand writing and/or printing. The key to storing the equivalent text, would be to run the captured image through an OCR to Text conversion routine like Tesseract (ie: open source one I use). Then store the output of the OCR into a Char like datatype.

Thanks Chris.   May be out of this forum.  Think you refer to this google project https://opensource.google.com/projects/tesseract.     Can you link me to the documentations / help for this project.
