Resolved QODBC database driver

I am writing and app with PB17 and PowerServer. The app connects to Quickbooks database via QODBC. In the IDE of Powerbuilder all the datawindows worked perfect; Retrieving the data from QB database. Thru IDE of powerbuilder 17 I can connect with QB database showing me all the tables. I can view, edit, insert, delete the data.

Now I am trying to connect with Quickbooks database thru PowerServer but firstable the QODBC data source type does not show in the list (do I have to do something else to show it in this list). So if the data source type does not show in the list then I can not connect. It will be greatly appreciated any Advice or pointing me in the right direction to solve my issue.

I was wondering wich Data Source Type: should I use but testing it I found that ODBC work perfect, of course after following your advice (using the Qremote utility). It works super good.

Hi Clarence;

   The cause is most likely that QODBC is 32 bit in nature and so is the PB IDE. I'm guessing that the PowerServer you are using is a 64 bit version and thus, you would need a 64 bit driver. Unfortunately, QODBC is only available as a 32 bit driver.

   QuickBooks does support 64 bit access but, you would need to use the QRemote driver product instead.
