Hi,

connect to a SQL-server DB with ADO doesn't work in runtime environment after upgrading the application from 2019 to 2022R3. In the development environment everything works fine. But when I have distribute the runtime files to the testenvironment the application terminate during connect without any error message diplayed. The is a message in Window event viewer says something about missing rights to start the COM-serverprogram with CLSID.

It works fine to connect the DB by OLE DB and ODBC but not with ADO which always worked fine before.

Does anyone have a clue?

Regards,

Johan

Hi.

Check that you deployed all required runtimes with your application. Take a look at the following link:

Required runtime files - - Connecting to Your Database

Also, pay attention: if you are using PB 2022 R3 MR 3391, then you must install .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0. If you are using a lower version of PowerBuilder 2022 R3, then you must have .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.

Andreas.
