I am attempting to convert a PB2022 project using PowerServer. I have installed PowerBuilder 2022 and have converted my PB2019 project to PB2022.  I have successfully created and connected to my SQL Server 2016 database using the SNC SQL Native Client database profile.

I am trying to update the PowerServer Project Database Server connection setup information.  The Provider is SQL Server.  I have tried using all the different Authentication selections but end up with the same error:

Can anyone explain how to resolve this issue?

Thank you.

Hi Tim;

  It sounds to me (I could be wrong) that you have requested a "secure" connection to SS but have not provided a "certificate" or the correct settings for that - in your PS's "DB Cache" definition. Could that be your issue (just a guess)?

Regards ... Chris

The Trust Server Certificate was set to False.  Changed it to True and the Test Connection was successful.

Thank you.

Hi Tim .. that's awesome news!

Yes, the reverse would be true as well. If your SS engine has the certificate requirement checked, then any "potential" client logging into SS must them also present a certificate in order to connect sucessfully. :-)
