Hi,
I have a Question regarding the following statement from the PB 2017 R3 help, located in Whats new => New Features in PowerBuilder 2017 R3 => PowerBuilder integrated with more PowerServer Features:
The PowerServer (PB Edition) included in the PowerBuilder Universal Edition not only supports PowerServer Mobile, but also supports the PowerServer Web related features, such as deploying Web apps to the .NET-based PowerServer back-end. You will need a free Developer license to use the PowerServer Web related features.
What is the meaning of the part in bold?
Is a Universal Powerbuilder License, which is also used for PB, enough or is an additional second License required?
Regards,
Gerrit Bruns
thanks for the quick Reply.
I thougt so, but the description is a little bit confusing, especially because nothing is mentioned regarding the mobile part.
Regards, Gerrit
BTW: this version of PS also supports offline DB's in your mobile Apps! ?
PS: if your bouncing back & forth between PB2017 installations and want to continue using your PS on another machine as well. That is what the "Deactivate" feature is in AEM licencing section. You can Deactivate PD on machine A and then Activate PS on machine B via AEM. Then just keep going on your development. Then just reverse the process when going back to machine A.
