Hi

This is post stems from my other one and with a tech support twist.

I am using a 2019 R2 PowerServer trial.

How do I get in touch with Appeon's Tech support?

Do I need to have a legit license to do so?

Here is what I have and have done

- I am able to set up a MS SQL Server profile in AEM

- I am NOT able to get the data source to the said server to work in AEM

- I was told the ODBC route didn't work. Use preset MS SQL native drive in AEM instead.

- The server's client is of 64 bit

- I was told by my IT the port was correct and I have supplied correct info into the configuration page

- When I do the 'Test,' AEM gets timed out with an error message

- I presented the message to my IT, the following response is what I got

"you will need to contact Appeon support. localhost is your local computer. I was able to verify ODBC connections via native driver 11 and ODBC SQL to the server using local accounts on the SQL server from my computer away from office over VPN. We do not have any licensing information or ability to work with this software as you are the only one with a copy on your computer. I suggest contacting the company directly for support."

- That's why I was asking how to get in touch with Appeon's tech support BUT I think maybe some of you who are reading this may help

How may I help you to help me?

I am all ears (and with little hair left)

Thank you for your input and help

CJ

I sent 2 emails to Appeon's trial@appeon.com as suggested 10 days ago. I have not gotten any feedback. I wonder if only paid customer (we got our paid license/PB 2017 R3 copy online without any sales rep involvement) would get their response.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nevertheless, I have the data source issue solved.

After digging through Appeon's online documentation, I found that the IP for TCP/IP port setting on our database server was missing. After it's filled in, my data source connection was able to get established. (Attached)

Thank you all for providing your input. It helped a lot

Hi CJ,

I'm part of the team that monitors trial@appeon.com.

We've received two emails from CLai@*******healthcare.com on May 8, 2020. Both of which we responded to on the same day.

I ask that you please check your Spam/Junk folder for our email. If you cannot find it, something on your network/email rules is blocking emails from our team.

Cordially,

Mariano C.

Sure enough they all went to 'suspicious' email box.

Thanks!

Please contact your sales rep to get tech support during a trial.  If you don’t have a sales contact already, please email trial@appeon.com
