I am using a preconfigured IIS VM test server that i use to test Powerserver 2020 applications.  It is already setup correctly for powerserver 2020 with FTP deployment.  it is windows server 2016, .net extensibility 4.6

the install instructions/requirements for PS 2022 are not exactly what i have setup, and appear to look like what can be used, not what must be used?

Is 4.7 required, or does any version of 4.x work?

  • .NET Extensibility 4.7

  • ASP.NET 4.7

Is windows server 2019 required, or can other versions of windows server (2016?)

Also, i don't believe FTP extensibility is that actually required?  I don't have that selected and was able to deploy the application via FTP?

Hi Mike,

For PowerServer 2022, all you need is the hosting bundle: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2022/Installing_Hosting_Bundle.html

The .NET framework and DB drivers are self-contained in the REST APIs.  Just make sure when you compile in SnapDevelop you set it to self-contained for the deployment mode: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2022/Using_the_File_System_method.html

Best regards,

Armeen
