I was pretty excited to see the slides on powerserver futures at the elevate keynote.

From those slide, it appears that PS2020 is slated for release before the end of this year.  Possibly within a few weeks even?  It would be really helpful to have a timeframe for when this is expected.

I don't want to upgrade to PS2019 and then have 2020 released a day later!

any update to the release timeframe?  I have a need for some of the new features, but if it is going to be few months then i will recode so it works with the existing capabilities.

Hi Mike,

Note that we also must release PowerBuilder 2019 MR at the same time, so that we can provide the updated PowerServer Toolkit for supporting PowerServer 2020. Currently the team is doing the final validation against the release candidates and will shoot to get everything ready in early January.  Then there will be public announcement in mid-January.

Best regards, Julie

Hi Mike;

FYI: Please take note that PB2019 MR02 will not include PS2020. The PB version of PS2020 will only start shipping with PB Universal in version PB2019 R2.

Hi,

it seems that all new features for Powerserver 2020 are all PS Web only features.

For PS Mobile it seems that official support for iOS13 and Android 10 are the only new “features”

Is this correct? When will we get the Restobject and Jsonobject for PS Mobile to consume a webservice.

For example any updated cordova plugins? Most of the plugins seems to be out of date.

TIA

Heino

P.S. We know the httpclient object in ps2019, but this is not want is need.
