Resolved Powerserver 2020 connecting to SQL2019

Hi Appeon,

 

I would like to know if Powersever 2020 build 2703 has an issue with connecting with MS SQL 2019? 

 

I have published an application but needs ms sql 2019 for database but I cant connect as powerserver reports:

 

 

The same sql credentials has been used with SSMS but I managed to login

 

Is there anything I need to adjust with powerserver?

Hi Lemuel,

PowerServer 2020 does not support the instance name, if there is multiple SQL Server instances in same machine, please make sure the host name (or IP) and port are correct, and please check if the port is allowed in the firewall. Please try refer to article below to solve the issue.

Hi Kai,



My applications is connected properly with MSSQL 2016 but when Im trying with SQL2019, I can't connect as per my screenshot above...



But, there is nothing to update with PS2020?



Will check the host name and firewall...
