Hi,

Trying to set up PowerClient. Had admin user run the CloudAppLauncher_Installer.zip on a dev ISS box (on Azure). Then created an application deployment package. Had admin user import it under our current WebApp group. All users have access to the ISS on the dev box.

When I try and access the URL, I get the following error:

Failed to download the config file https://intweb16:443/csms/csm.exe/deploylist.ini.zip; ErrorCode: 401; Error: Unauthorized.

Any ideas as to what I am missing?  It looks like it is accessible but that I don't have permissions. The admin did give my ID full access to the folder as well.

Went through some of the demos. Couldn't find one that actually goes through promoting via packages to make sure I set up the ISS box correctly.

I tried to access the zip file directly and when I try and open it, it says the compressed file is invalid.

I will try the other suggestions you gave as well to see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Ed,

According to the information you provided, please verify as follows:

  1. The problem could be the IIS configurations forbid users from downloading the zip file. Please try running https://intweb16:443/csms/csm.exe/deploylist.ini.zip in your browser and see if you can download this file.
  2. Please go to IIS Manager and check if the zip type is on the MIME Types list. If not, please add the zip type to the MIME Types list referring to the below steps to allow the download of zip files. Then run the application URL again to verify if the problem is solved.

Step 1: In the IIS Manager, select the Web site that hosts the installable cloud application.

Step 2: In Features View, double-click MIME Types; then in the Actions pane, click Add, and then in the Add MIME Type dialog box, type the file name extension in the File name extension text box, for example, type .zip, and type a MIME type in the MIME type text box, for example, application/x-zip-compressed, and click OK.

  1. Try to give permissions to everyone to the CloudAppPublisher folder which on the web site(for example, C:\inetpub\wwwroot\CloudAppPublisher )and run the application URL.

PS: In order to better track and handle the case, please submit a ticket at https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug. Thanks!

Regards,

Mora
