I have questions...

Does the PowerClient feature require the CloudPro license or is it available for Professional?

Is PowerClient only for client app deployment? I just want to verify it is separate from PowerServer.

Does it support deployment to cloud storage services like Google Drive or is it only for the company web server?

Hi Roland

Yes, all the user needs to do is to access the URL then the installer can do everything else. I have managed to get it to install the SQL client transport too and other 3rd party software. All from PowerClient installation URL.

Basically from a virgin machine, installed PB runtime, SQL transport, other software and the PB App.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

David

How does the client get the launcher the first time?

Or the IT admin can pre-install the .MSI for all the users. But since the client install doesn't require admin rights, it should be no problem for the user to self install with the download link as Chris mentioned.

I'm asking for a company that has one person who is both PB Dev and IT and has 50 clients, some who work remote. I'm guessing he would just email them a link to install it.

Hi Roland;

  Only requires the Professional edition. Yes, only for C/S App deployment. Deploys PB App & runtime via a Web Server.  HTH
