FYI folks...

PowerClient...

- Direct deploy to IIS succeeds as does the installation to the clients from IIS.

- Packaging of Executable installer succeeds.

- Choosing to Package the compiled app fails.

After splitting the PBDs succeeds

From the output log...

"Failed to set app type."

"Failed to package the app."

This failure occurs trying to deploy without first doing a Build/Deploy.

If you first build for direct deploy to server or to package as an EXE installer,

then change to ZIP installer package it will fail.

*** When changing type of deploy you must first build with that alternate option chosen in the project object.

Hi John, Never seen this error before and I don't see that you are doing anything wrong.  Please open a support ticket so product engineering can investigate.
