PB 2022 R2 2828

PB use to always re-open on the monitor it was on last but since going to R2 (I think) it is only opening on my second monitor even though I close it on my primary.  Is anyone else having this issue?  Is there a registry entry I need to delete?

Thanks,

Chris Craft

Ah! Your 'normal' comment triggered a thought.  It won't save it if the window is maximized.  I ended up dragging over to my primary, not maximizing, then closing.  I opened it again and it came to my primary.  I then maximized, closed, then opened and it is now opening on my primary as maximized. Mystery solved!

Hi,

though not exactly the bug you're describing, several problems with dual monitors have been resolved in 2019 R3. Please try and upgrade and see if the problem goes away.

The window style, size, and position are in the pb.ini:

[PB]
Maximized=1
Window=767 283 1089 657

Thanks Roland - That is where the bug is then. If the window is maximized it does not update the Window setting in the INI file.

Hi Chris;

  If you move the IDE back to Monitor #1 and then Exit it normally .. when you re-open the R2 IDE, does it not open into the last Monitor where it was working upon closure?

Regards ... Chris

That works for me when the IDE Maximized or in Normal state - it always remembers the last monitor in my testing after reopening! ;-).

FYI: I am testing on W10 version 22H2 build 19045.3693 ???

So if you move the IDE to monitor 2, maximize it, then close it you are saying it re-opens on Monitor 2?

And what PB version/runtime are you running?
