Hi,

I would like to use the old rtf control shipped with PB 12.5/12.6 as the new RTF shipped with PB 2017 flat does not work. It has so many issues. I know R2 is being released this month end and it has some fixes for RTF control. I would still want to use the old RTF control as a backup plan just in case new fixes don't solve my problems. Can anyone suggest how I can go about doing so? This problem is holding up my release and clients are getting very  anxious.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Ravi;

    Its actually very easy to use the old TX Control that shipped with PB v12.x. Once you download the trial or production version of the TX Control, then just head over to your PB App's Application Painter. In the App Painter, select the Additional Properties link. Within the resulting dialogue, select the RichTextEdit tab page. Then within there, select the TX Control and then enter your product's license serial number. That should place your App back into using the TX Control 3rd party control that Sybase & SAP used to distribute with the PB IDE.

HTH

Hi Chris,

I attempted to try the control from textcontrol.com. I downloaded the trial version from there and they have version 15 right now. I installed it on my local development machine. Powerbuilder seems to recognize version 14 so it does not work :(

The trial version is not supported with PB.  You would need to purchase a real license of X14 version.  X15 is not yet compatible.
