When I click on the Powerbuilder 17 icon to start it up it shows the splash screen then the icon appears on taskbar but I cannot actually open anything.

I suspect something is corrupted but I do not know how to fix it.

Does anybody have any suggestion?

Hi.

What is the exact version of PB 2017 you are using?

Andreas.

The only thing I can see on the Splash screen is 2017 R3

But when I check the installer files I see 2017 R3+1951

There was an issue in older versions of pb where you had to minimize (using for example WinKey+D) and after that maximize again PB. It was related with machines having some specific service running (mine had touchscreen). But I don't thing this is issue was affecting PB 2017 R3. You can try that and tell us if problem remains.

Andreas.

Do you have a dual monitor?

Maybe it's opening on a second monitor and that monitor is off?

I had tried unplugging the external monitors and only had the laptop monitor. Did not help.

You might also have to set your Windows to only use one monitor: use

winKey+P
