Resolved Powerbuilder IDE disappears after last Windows 11 update

Hi all,

yesterday microsoft updated my windows 11 computer and after that, my powerbuilder 2021 and 2022 ide were gone. Repairing with the appeon installation tool is not possible because this tool says, that the installation is ok.

Does anybody know, where microsoft switched the powerbuilder ide?

Hello Martin,

What you mean by 'my powerbuilder 2021 and 2022 ide were gone' ?   As Steen says, is it an workspace opening issue?

had similar - whole IDE application disappeared somewhere outside visible monitor space.. restarting IDE did not helped, opening any project would not display main window...

Pressed Ctrl+Space and selected "Move" helped me to get the window back on screen..

Yes, I had the exact same issue.

It turned out to be my workspace that somehow was corrupted even it looked fine in notepad.

So I found the pb.ini and updated it to NOT automatically load my workspace then I created a new one and that worked.

Hi Steen,

thanks for your help.

I deleted the IDE app and reinstalled it. Then I made a new entry in microsoft defender for not deleting the ide.

I hope, the next update will work :)
