Resolved PowerBuilder Error object out of date

Getting this error when attempting to run PowerBuilder from development environment.  Running PowerBuilder 9.0.3 on Windows 10

Hi everyone.  Thanks for your suggestions.  I tried them all, which did help narrow down what I needed to do.  My final resolution was to do an "Edit Source" and remove an offending event.  It only contained comments, so all is well.

Great news Bruce. Yes, I have had this type of issue the odd time where a previous edition of PB corrupted an object's source. That corruption only then manifested at run time. Its a very rare case but, it does happen.

When you updated from PB 9 GA to 9.0.3, did you do a Full Rebuild?

Full rebuild - or migrate? Sometimes a migrate may be needed.

Also: Does your app contain PBD compiled under different PB target? All PB code needs recompile using new release - even when it is a maintenance release.

I did a "Full Build". I'll read how to do a migrate and try this option. Thanks

Migrate is just a variation on Full Rebuild that should be on the menu next to Full Rebuild. The only real difference is that it checks for any version related syntax changes. The Full Rebuild should be enough.

Hi Bruce;

   The PB IDE normally outputs this error when an object cannot be run because it was not compiled OK.

    If you locate the object in the IDE's "System Tree" or via the Library Painter, you can use the RHMB on it and then select the "Regenerate" option from the resulting pop-Up menu. Now either two things will happen .. 1) the regenerate will succeed - thus allowing you to now run the App OK or .. 2) the regenerate will fail and then indicate some reason(s) why not.
