Hello
I don't know why when I update my system with the powerbuilder client on my server, the client computers are no longer updated, it stays in the same version, this has been happening to me for a week, I uninstalled and reinstalled the system from the server but it has not been solved, do you have any report of this problem?

I use PB 2022 Build 1892

windows 11,10

This problem is new, it never happened to me before.

Thanks

Luis

Before when it was working were you also using PB 2022 Build 1892?  Or were you using an older version like PB 2021, PB 2019 R3, etc.?

Have you checked to make sure the Web server really has the updated app files and that it is in correct path/location?  So many times we see silly mistake like this.

Do you have the app update strategy in the project configuration object set to always update?

I can almost guarantee there is some mistake rather than a product bug, but its hard to catch the mistake with such limited information.

All computers and servers are licensed, the problem is PowerClient with the antivirus that detects it as a security problem

Hi Luis;

CAL = Cloud App Launcher"

Yes, signing the CAL & PC Apps should take care of that AV issue.

Hi Luis;

  Were you by chance changing the App version number, available / expiration date/time and/ or minimum compatible version settings on subsequent App publications?

Hi Luis;

Then I would try deleting the current App on the App User's machine. That local application copy should be located at ...

"<UserID>\AppData\Roaming\PBApps".

See if that then brings down the lApp again with your latest changes when the App is started once again. HTH

I think I already found the problem and it is one that was already in the first versions of PowerClient, Windows has had an update and now the Defender antivirus detects the powerClien and the application that is updated as a threat and blocks and eliminates it, this happened before with the mcfee

these antivirus applications should be discussed so that they do not consider PowerCliente a threat

I solved it by adding in exclusion the directory "C:\Users\lpesa\AppData\Roaming\PBApps"

the problem is that it had to be done on all computers to avoid future problems

More Info please!

Would like to know
1.  How the client systems were updated earlier?
2.  Do you use PowerClient?
3.  Have you checked for any windows update that's modified the folder rights?
