This is built in to PB 2019 R3. Just configure your app with PowerClient option. https://www.appeon.com/products/power-client

PB protect is a third party product that should obfuscate older PB code. But don’t see why you should buy when PB does this free in a stronger way with encryption rather than obfuscation. Obfuscation makes it harder to read the code whereas encryption truly solves the problem.

Really wished Appeon would consider adding standalone encryption of .exe and pbd content without the requirement of deploying using PowerClient for stand-alone windows apps as an additional deployment option.
Obfuscating code really doesn't protect the code from unauthorized changes or reverse engineering.

Is there any option to choose to upgrade at the choice of the Client(s) in PowerClient ? If they want to postpone the upgrade, can they do it?

Each app user has no control. The developer is the one controlling when apps should be updated so consistency with any DB changes.
