Hi all, my JAWS saga continues.

1) I can't get JAWS to recognize dddws in a datawindow.  I've tried playing with the accessible options on the other tab with no success.  Is there a secret to using dddws, or is the secret to not use them?

2) I've found that drop down lists in a datawindow are inconsistent. Sometimes it will recognize them and others it won't.  I've also played with the accessible options on the other tab with no change

3) I've found that if I have 2 edit fields in a row in a datawindow , it recognizes the first one and reads the label, but doesn't recognize when i tab to the next.  This will happen no matter which direction I go (tab-tab, or shift+tab, shift+tab), the second one is never recognized.  The only way each edit is recognized is if I put a different field type in between them (but then if its a drop down its hit and miss, if its a dddw, its always a miss).  I've also played with the accessible options on the other tab with no change

Any words of wisdom out there?

Hi Cory;

  This is ticket # 5072 that you created. The main Support / Engineering Team is working on trying to recreate this issue. Engineering also has a related ticket # 3769 that is in "scheduling" that is screen reader related as well.

  Both issues are still "in progress" as far as a resolution is concerned. For the DDDW, that sounds like a new JAWS issue compared to the other two tickets. Please open a new Support Ticket for that problem.

Regards ... Chris

PowerBuilder 2019 R3 has done major enhancements to accessibility.  I recommend you try the beta currently available.
