Hello,

We are upgrading our applications from PowerBuilder 2017 R3 to PowerBuilder 2022 R3. Currently the application executables built in PB 2017 R3 are placed in a Windows Server 2016 server and users access them via Citrix.

I know the PowerBuilder 2022 R3 IDE is not supported in Windows Server 2016. Please advice if Windows Server 2016 infrastructure and Citrix setup can still be used to access applications built using PowerBuilder 2022 R3. Is it required to upgrade the infra to Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2022 to run apps built in PowerBuilder 2022 R3?

Thank you.

Hi.

Windows Server 2016 is still supported in PB 2022 R3 (only runtime of course). So running an application built in powerbuilder 2022 r3 in 2016 should be ok. You can check the following link:

System Requirements - - Installation Guide (appeon.com)

Generally, I remember some people complaining about slowness when working in cirtix, but most of those complaints where somehow related to printers...

Andreas.
