I am using Powerbuilder 2022 R1 and was wondering if there was a way to mouse hover over a field and it would display a datawindow?

Thanks.

Carla

Hi Carla;

  Do you mean "Display the DB Column information" when hovering over a DWO's "column"?

Hi Chris,

Actually we want to open a datawindow when you hover over a db column.

Thanks.

OK.. thanks for that qualification! FWIW: In my STD Framework, I use a User Event mapped to "pbm_ncHittest" to sense if the mouse is over something. Then for the DC, you would need to use the DC's GetObjectAtPointer () method to get the column name at the mouse pointer. Then (I think) you would have enough information to then open any related DW that you need from that. HTH . ;-)
