Dear All

PowerBuilder 2021. How to set the PowerBuilder Runtime path for when running PB210.exe.? without set registry editor.

does the Powerbuilder IDE currently have any parameters?

example : run(PB210.exe -path d:\\PowerBuilder Runtime )

for example I have 2 Powerbuilder runtime folders when i want to run the ide with a runtime that is not the default. can I use parameters?

Thanks You!

Dear Chris

I want to set the path at startup. if I don't set the path it can't start. it is forcing me to use regedit. no other way to implement it?

thank you.

Sounds like your talking about the App EXE runtime. If so, that is what the new <appname>.XML file is for that the Project "deployment" creates. The EXE startup now looks for this XML file and when found alongside the EXE deployment, guides the EXE to locate the runtime DLLs now that the runtime is "decoupled" from the IDE.

Hi Hoai;

  The runtime version & path you want the IDE to use in your current workspace is set within the IDE from the System Options dialogue.
