Just go to the roadmap page, click on "Released Features" tab, and search for all features with date of January 31, 2018.  Those are the new features added in R2.  Also, there are videos of most of new features

They plan on releasing 2018 on the last day of 2018. This means that the current version will always be one year behind. If you are going to use years as the version, you have to sync it up. New customers won't know why it is the way it is and really won't care. All they know is the version number sounds old and makes the product seem out of date.

Roland, we are going to resolve this after the PB 2018 release.  Originally, the plan was for 2018 to come out middle of the year, but then we felt it was necessary to do R3 so that pushed things out 6 months.  So based on our original plan we did have the correct terminology.
