Resolved PowerBuilder 19 Themes in Windows 7

Hello,

I am migrating an application to PowerBuilder 2019 R2, but the themes are not working, i am working in Windows 7, i migrated the same application to PowerBuilder 2018 and the themes were working.

Do you know how the apply the themes of PowerBuilder 2019 under Windows 7?

I figured out, i had installed PB 2019 R1, and every time i restore a theme, the old json file is overwriting the R2 json file then i am obtaining an error applying the theme.

I am still having problems applying the themes in PowerBuilder 2019 R3, in Windows 7.

I will try latest version of PowerBuilder 2019 R3 that i received from Appeon,

Let me know if you have any observation in this case.

I am sending this email due to the email from Appeon, asking me from an update in this case.

W7 is *no* longer supported under PB 2019 R3 ...

Hello,

I decided apply the code to set the item in the frame window,

and i getting -1 like result.

IF ApplyTheme("C:\Program Files\Appeon\Shared\PowerBuilder\theme190\Flat Design Blue") = -1 THEN
    MessageBox("Attention!", "Error applying theme")
END IF

Later i will send you more information about my O.S, thanks.

I made a test in Windows 10, and it is working fine, but the application will reside in Window NT Server and it is being distributed in Citrix.

Hi Jhonns，

Please make sure you are using the latest theme.json file. I suggest you go to Application Object -> Additional Properties, configure the Theme Path to the default path (C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\Shared\PowerBuilder\theme190) and then try again.
If what you run is EXE, please copy the theme190 folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\Shared\PowerBuilder\ to the directory where this EXE resides again.

If the issue still exists after doing the above, please open a ticket on our Support ticket system (https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug) and upload your test case as well as theme.json file when submitting the issue. Thanks in advance.

Maybe there's been some changes between 2018 and pb2019 R2. (are you using R2?)

I know, but I guess the OP is referring to the Beta when mentioning "2018"?

That was really the PB2019 "pre-beta" (aka "alpha") but was never made public (by invitation only).
