Hey guys, firstly apologies in advance to any mods if this is against any rules. Does anyone know of anywhere I could purchase a Powerbuilder 12.5 licenses or if anyone would have one they are willing to part with?

Cheers

Lachlan -

While Kevin is 100% correct, that doesn't help you. You might try calling SAP and explaining your situation. It's possible they can and will assist you. Ya never know.

Assuming that you allready have at least ONE license availble, be sure to have your SID available.

If you have NO licenses available, start working on your Charisma attribute!  :)

In the past, the people at their Help Desk have been extremely friendly and helpful, but you need that SID.

Good Luck,

Olan

You'd be crazy to put in a lot of effort to find, purchase and install/configure an unsupported version of PowerBuilder.  Current licensing is pretty affordable, and definitely worth it for all the new features and to have a supported version.  What happens if you put all that effort into getting 12.5 up and running, then you have a windows update that crashes your system?  Are you on Windows 10?  2017+ are the only versions supported for Win10.

Unfortunately, it's an issue of working on a legacy software build running in a legacy environment, Just purchasing a current version won't help in this case.

None of the SAP/Sybase version are sold or supported anymore. I'm pretty sure the SAP/Sybase license is non-transferrable.

If you find someone willing to transfer a license to you, you'll need them to give you a login to the webpage where you generate license files.
