Hi,

We have a very old power builder application. But we dont have the developer who developed this application. We have only java developers.

Can we use powerserver web to convert the PB application to java Web Application?

Is the java Web Application readable and can be maintained by java developer. Is that possible

Regards,

Ram.

Hi Ram;

       David is correct as the PowerServer Web product (.Net or J2EE version) just compliments the PB IDE to webify your PowerBuilder applications. The application source is not converted and it remains in PowerBuilder. Only the output for execution purposes is converted to a combination of XML, HTML and jScript. The App source and its continued maintenance and enhancements remain in PowerBuilder, still coded in its language called PowerScript.

Hi Ram

The answer is no!

But if you need help with your PB application then we can help either by supporting it for you or offering training to your software developers. Or a combination of both.

Contact me directly if you would like to discuss the options.

Thanks

David
