Resolved power server web app failed initialization from ini file

now that i have my hello world application running, I decided to move on to publishing my own application to power server web.  I have selected the ini file to be published but when i run the application in the browser, I get this error.  I am sure I am missing something.

Hi Jon;

  Using AEM, can you check to see if your INI file was actually deployed to PowerServer ... for example:

I have tried several times to get this to deploy correctly with no luck.  What is the next step?

Jon,



 



Here are some things you might want to look into:



1.- Are your files read only?



2.- Do you have the proper MIME Types setup in IIS?



3.- Have you setup the proper permissions for IIS_IUSRS in your C:\inetpub\wwwroot in your server?



4.- Are you placing the INI file in the proper section of the PowerServer Toolkit Configuration Wizard?

1. I have checked this.  ini file is not read only.



2. how do i check/accomplish this?



3. I have verified that user has full control on all sites.



4. I believe it is in the correct section based on this snip.

Thanks for the link.  I have reviewed this and maybe it is just me, but it didn't provide anything helpful for diagnosing this problem.  I did however search the folder that the application was deployed into and I did not find my ini file.

  FYI: INI file when deployed are converted to XML files.

Hi Jon;

  Make sure that you are just referencing the INI file name and not a qualified path to it like we do sometimes in MS-Windows native Apps.

Yes.  the only thing in the path is "inv.ini"
