Hi,

I am testing PB2021 Beta deployment of salesdemo_cloud   app.

Deployment described in :

https://www.appeon.com/products/powerserver

and https://docs.appeon.com/pb2019r3/pbug/ch07s03.html#tutorial_deploying_your_first_PowerClient_project

When clicking "Run Powerserver Project"   it fails with:

"Connect database fail: DBMS Provider: '' is not supported"

Database Configuration in "Web Api"  tab of cloud project  :

SQLanywhere 17 ODBC - PB demo db V2021    and tested working

Build and deploy (see attachment)

Compile & Run Web API (See attachment)

Regard

Håvard Heide

Please check whether the Ribbonbar XML file was selected when configuring the External Files tab.

Refer to Quick Start - Creating the PowerServer project - Configuring the External Files tab

https://docs.appeon.com/pb2021/whats_new/Creating_the_PowerServer_project.html#Configuring_the_External_Files_tab

You can also refer to Troubleshooting Tips - RibbonBar control displays blank:

Thanks. That worked. Started with 2019 R3 docs and that brought some problems.
BUT - when starting Salesdemo_cloud from another pc's browser (see attachment)   I am getting :

Application execution error (R0222)

Application terminated.

Error cannot connect to the server when creating the session

It seems that the Cloud App can't access the URL of PowerServer Web API.

1) Whether your PowerServer Web API project is running? Please make sure it's running.

I suggest that testing PowerServer Web API in your development machine first.

https://docs.appeon.com/pb2021/whats_new/Starting_the_Web_APIs.html

2) Please check your PowerServer project - Web APIs tab - Web API URL, and check whether you can access this URL from "another PC's browser" that you mentioned.

BTW: Since this issue is not related to this topic, I suggest that you should submit a new topic. So other guys can find answers from the Community easier.

Regards, Logan

Hi Håvard;

Note that the link you provided above s for PB2019 and not PB2021. The tutorials for the PS2021 related to PowerClient and PowerServer projects are provided in the PB2021 documentation / help file.

Hi Håvard,

If you want to try PowerServer in PB 2021 Beta, it may easily get confusing to read a PB 2019 R3 PowerClient tutorial.

I suggest that you can start with this Quick-Start step by step: https://docs.appeon.com/pb2021/whats_new/Quick_Start.html

Regards,
Logan
