Hi Experts,

Just a brief about our product.

We use PowerBuilder 2017.

Our app connects to SQL server 2012/2016 via SQL native client 2012 ole db (sqlncli11.dll).

Now I have been asked a question.

Does your product support availability groups?

Basically they will have their databases in availability groups. My understanding is that they may do it for disaster recovery or to provide always ON connection to the respective applications.

Can you please help me whether any one of you have connected your application to a database that is in availability groups? Have you set mutisubnet failover in your connection string?

Thanks a ton,

Ganesan R

I believe you just have to use the DNS name of the availability group listener in your connection string where you normally would put the database server name.
