Resolved PB 2021: Copy & Paste Text from Word

Hi,

when the user copy&paste text from Word that contains " or ' it will be replaced by ¿ , how can you explain that and what we can do to avoid this behaviour?

The ' or " from Word are not the same hex value than normal ' or " from Ultraedit for example.

Some ideas?

Word has the AutoFormat option to replace "normal" quotes with „typographic“ ones.

The most fonts should show it correct and I have not problem to copy&paste ot from Word into PB controls.

If you store it into database it maybe converted to ¿ if you use a different character set.

But maybe also that word uses dependend on language different quotes?
