I am converting web service from PB 11.5 to PB 2017. I am having problem on the "Save as PDF" after the conversion to PB 2017. I installed Ghostscript to "Sybase DataWindow PS". However, the "Save as PDF" generated a blank pdf file.

Can someone help? Thank you in advance.

Hi Ying;

   FYI:  I have PB2017Rx and PB2019Rx web services running that build PDF's via GhostScript and the new NativePDF! built-in option.

  For GS, make sure that you ...

  • Only use GS version up to 9.53.3 as versions 9.54.n seems to be broken at the moment (PB wise).
  • Make sure that you only install the 64bit GS version on a 64bit MS-Windows O/S.
  • Make sure that you install GS using the "As Admin" option.
  • Make sure that the "Sybase DataWindow PS" printer is installed from the GS .INF file located within the GS's installation's LIB folder. Do not use any other printer driver.
  • Make sure that the GS's BIN folder is in the O/S's System Path.
  • Add a GS_DLL environment variable as well that points to the BIN folder. For example: GS_DLL=C:\Program Files\gs\gs9.53.3\bin

HTH

Regards ... Chris

It worked.  It saved me a lot of time investigating the problem.

Many thanks.
