Hello.
I created in Oracle DB one 'materialized view'

When developing the datawindows and selecting those View PB2017R2 responds to me:
ORA-00936 Missing expression.

I tried to browse from the db painter too.
The system can not recover the columns of the materialized view

is it right ?

Hi

@Chris:

Thanks, but i'm on oracle version 10.2.04.

@Govinda.

Thanks for answer, but the problem is on painter not on sql in script.

@All

I am using the same user both in the creation of the tables and in the development of PB2017R2
Does anyone use the materialized view?
Is PB certified for use in the Oracle environment?

thanks all

Hi Gimmy,  No Oracle DB on hand so this is from memory:

PB IDE uses certain calls to system views to retrieve lists of tables, columns, views, you name it. Unfortunately I don't remember those calls.

Looking at the call to retrieve list of tables/views should indicate where the problem lies. It may be access rights.

Hi Gimmy,

Have you tried adding the [dbo] prefix? Ie., SELECT col1 FROM dbo.tbl WHERE col1 = 1;

Hi Gimmy;

   I do not have Oracle installed - but, was able to create Materialized Views in ASE, SS & SA and then consume these in a DW object within PB 2017 R2, as follows:

DB Painter test ...

DW Painter test using  Materialized View  from above...

My suggestion would be to contact your Oracle DBA for more information. Maybe its a "right's" issue?

HTH

Regards ... Chris
