Can we replace Oracle Java with OpenJDK Java 8 -> https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases/?version=8? is there any issues if we do this?

We are using OpenJDK, which is basically a simplified version of the full Oracle JDK. (also managed by Oracle by the way). We use it for our JDBC database connections and have no issues.

Why don't you just try it out?

Appeon doesn't do any testing of third-party software not listed in system requirements. You should test it and see, and also know that you are doing so at your own risk there is no tech support for unsupported environment.

Hi Chris;

Yes, PB 2017 Rx came with Java 1.6. However, I was able to use Java 1.8 on my W10 test machines with PB 2017 R3.

FYI: http://chrispollach.blogspot.com/2022/05/pb2java.html

Note however that Java was removed from PB in version PB 2022 (and higher) ...
