Hi all - looking for some advice ...

We are using a customized version of the TE Edit Control (Sub Systems v20) and are looking for the best way to save the output to a PDF. We had been saving simply by using a PDF print driver, but we'd like to get rid of that obsolete 3rd-party software.

Due to the customizations in our control, we can't upgrade to the newest TER control, which includes a SaveDocumentAsPDF function. Is there another option that you would recommend?

Thanks!

Thanks, Chris.

Unfortunately this isn't an option due to our customizations of the control itself. Our current path is to use MS Print to PDF, as that is distributed with Windows already and provides this functionality. We were hoping that PB might have some way to generate PDFs other than via a DW or RTF (like a 3rd-party that comes with a PB install), but it doesn't appear that's an option.

Thanks again

Hi Chadd;

Yes, for the time being you would need to choose a PDF mechanism that supports your older TE control.

Hi Chadd;

  FWIW: Not that I have heard of.    Have you tried contacting the TE Vendor - Sub Systems - about using a newer version that supports PDF generation?  https://www.subsystems.com/tewf.htm
