Hi Team,

We are using power builder version 2022, build 1900 to develop the windows application which handle motor vehicle insurance.

We are using outlook (32-bit) add-in which is developed using visual basic which converts the selected email to PDF format and attach the same in the power builder application by invoking the EXE.

Here converting of email to PDF works properly, but invoking the EXE (power builder application) is happening, but no response after that. It does nothing.

This functionality works properly in user laptop and not working on user's cloud desktop. Please let us know whether this is due to machine dependency or any other version compatibility.

Please help to resolve the issue.

Silly Question: you do have the appname.xml file deployed with the EXE?

What happens if you just run the EXE using a shortcut to add the command line parameters? Does this work or do you see an error? What is in the Windows Event log when this problem occurs.

No appname.xml file deployed with the EXE. Adding the command line parameters in the EXE and running that gives not response. Sometimes it opens the expected EXE output after a very long gap of one day.

Hi Praveen;

It could be because the Outlook client installed on the Cloud machine is 64 bit and your App is 32 bit. If that is the case, then the Outlook client will not respond. HTH

Is it possible that anti-virus is blocking that app from being launched/processing. As the issue is only in cloud deployment it must be environmental.
