Hi All

Here is what is happening (to me)

-PB 2017 R3

-Using Native SCC

-Target ABC shows a red X next to it (it's checked out (by someone))

-Right click on the target

-Click 'show History'

-PB Native History popup window. Status: Checked out by <my ID>

What I don't understand is if the target is checked out by me (which I did not do), it should have a green check mark next to it; not a red X.  Now no one can do anything with/to it any more.

I am not sure if this has happened to anyone but I have searched online and have not been able to find a solution.

Does anyone have a solution so the target can be 'released?'

Thank you much

CJ

The PB Native SCC has object status stored in a file with .prp as the file extension. It is a simple text file so you can edit it to correct the status. You'll have to turn off read-only before editing and turn it back on after you are done.

Thank you so much for your input. I was able to 'clear' the status.

It worked.

Much appreciate you!

I remember that "once" I solved a problem by editing some (hidden?) file where the status of checkout is saved.

But for me it has also been ages and I don't remember which file it was.

When I have some time I'll try to figure it out.

Hi CJ,

as far as I remember this can happen when you have this file checked out in either a different workspace folder on your machine or on a different machine than the one you're currently using. Or, possibly, the source file was somehow changed outside of PB. But I haven't used native scc in ages so I'm not sure how to solve this.
