Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if the latest version of Powerbuilder supports MTOM/XOP web services? We currently connect to a third party's webservice from Powerbuilder 10.5 but they are changing their implementation from text/xml to MTOM/XOP which PB 10.5 doesn't support. Is there a way to connect to this type of web service from Appeon Powerbuilder? I queried the use of MTOM/XOP but the web service operator replied "Any (relatively) modern SOAP client is expected to be able to support MTOM/XOP (which is W3C standard for many years now).", so I'm hoping it's supported.

Thanks

HI Daryl;

      Unfortunately at this time, PB 2017 currently does not support the "Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism" feature. It certainly might be possible in the near future as Appeon moves PB into the .NET Core Technology stream.

      In the mean-time, this PB add-on might help you implement this feature now if you need this functionality ... (click here).

HTH

Regards ... Chris
