Hi,

I need some guidance or advice on Power Server deployment.

We have some Power builder applications which has master detail window, list window, tree view controlled windows, tab windows - form and master detail layouts.

Since, Power Server 2021 deploys existing power builder application to cloud environment, I needed some guidance if these applications / interface are compatible for cloud environment. Any article or guideline of creating applications / windows layout will be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Falguni

PowerServer 2021 basically supports 100% of PowerBuilder features.  So you don’t need to worry can it do this and can it do that?  Especially what you described is very basic stuff.  Just make sure your database is a supported one, and of course currently it is in beta so if there is an issue please open a support ticket so we can fix the bug  in the final release.

Hi Falguni;

   The Cloud environment does not change the App's UI. Only how the app is delivered to the user's machine and how it accesses the DB (via a middle-tier layer - aka PowerServer).

   The PB developers still control the look & feel of the application. However, recent releases of PB enable the developers to add features like Themes, RibbonBar, Web Browser, etc new controls.

Regards ... Chris
