Hi,

We have deployed our application through web. Every time we try to log in to the application through web we need to kill the checked sessions that were open previously in the AEM. And then it works fine for some number of sessions for the same day. When we try to log back in the next day we need to again kill the previous sessions in AEM. Is there a setting in AEM that is preventing us to log in? How to stop this?

Environment:

Powerbuilder 2017 R3

Powerserver Web

Oracle 12CR2

configure your powerserver to automatically kill off sessions that have no activity after a certain amount of time.

when someone exists your application, the session should no longer be in AEM.  There are some cases when the browser may not notify the web server that a user has exited the app.

Hi,

We are using Oracle Native client. So we end the day by logging off. During next day we were not able to log in. It always hangs, Also we need to re-deploy the application to log in, It doesn't work even if i kill the session through AEM.

In regards to this "You would need to give us a lot more detail in your App's approach to login's in order to answer this question.

We do not have any authentication server while logging in. User(Oracle user) will be directly authenticated to Database. We are using localhost , ORACLE 12CR2 client and database connection established through Oracle Native driver.

Let us know what details do you exactly need in case the details provided by us are insufficient.

Thanks in Advance!!

Hi BFMS;

Can you tell us ...

1) PS type (.Net or J2EE)

2) PS version & build

3) PS's O/S its running under

4) Did you check the PS logs?

5) For DB authentication ... are you using the "Dynamic Database Connection" ON setting?

6) When the PS App(s) complete ... does the browser (tab page) close?

7) What web browser are you using?

8) Did you try running your App(s) in another web browser?

9) Anything suspicious in the App Server's logs (that PS runs under)?

etc

Regards ... Chris

Hi BFMS;

  There are many ways to handle both PowerServer and related DBMS security (login) in a Web and/or Mobile App. You would need to give us a lot more detail in your App's approach to login's in order to answer this question.
