Hi all,
LineCount function is listed here as being supported:
https://www.appeon.com/support/documents/appeon_online_help/pb2017r3/features_help_for_appeon_web/ch10s10s03.html

In reality it always returns 0 (zero) in a WEB deployed application.
Any suggestion?
Thank you in advance

Thank you Chris,
I tried calling LineCount() in editchanged event, so the focus never lives the field. Same result - returns zero.
I will try SetColumn() as you suggested,
Best

Viktor

Hello Viktor,

yes, you are right.

It works fine for multilineedit control, but always returns 0 in a DW.

I'd submit a bug to Appeon standard support portal.

Best,

Hi Vicktor;

   The LineCount() method should work OK as long as the column that is behaving like an SLE/MLE has focus. I would suggest trying a SetColumn() command on the DWO first before using the LineCount() and see if that helps.

Hi Chris,

that was a good hint, but results is still 0.

For example, try to output LineCount() to a staticText while the editchanged event is fired at each keystroke: still zero.

Best,

Hi Marco;

Thank you for confirming that behaviour (even though its still a problem). Yes, I would recommend that Viktor submit a support ticket on this.

Regards ... Chris
