We have the same application running both client/server and powerserver.

When the application starts the login screen pops up, and after login the main MDI window opens.

In client/server after i click the desktop icon to start the application, focus is on the login screen and i can immediately start typing in login information.

In powerserver, after i click the desktop icon to start the application, focus is NOT on the login screen.  I have to click on the login screen to give focus to the application.

anyone else see this?  this is not a big deal, but it annoys me.  surprisingly, no users complain about it.

Hi Mike,

We had a customer report a similar issue, but not quite the same. When opening the PS app from the start menu, the window would be focused but when launching the application through the URL it would not grab focus.

This was regarded as OS behavior but what you're describing seems different.

If you launch the application through the start menu, does it grab focus?

Regards,
Francisco

Hi Francisco;

FWIW: I seem to remember both situations being reported before. I'm not on the Support System to check, but (I think) that Engineering is working on a fix on this for the next MR later this summer. I seem to remember a hot fix or two in this area. You would have to check with Engineering to be sure.

Regards ... Chris
