I am currently working on deploying an application in Powerbuilder 2021 to Powerserver (development).  Wherever SyntaxFromSQL is used I get an error message that the table or view does not exists.  We are using Oracle for our database.  This is happening on all versions of Oracle that I have tested.  All other datawindows in the application are able to retrieve data.  I have verified that the connected user does have access to the tables.

There are no errors in the build and deployment of the project.

Thanks,

Shayne Salsbury

There error occurs with all of the SyntaxFromSQL datawindows that are encountered.  I am not able run the application too far because of the errors.

Hi Shayne,

Are you using Oracle 12c and newer?  Older versions not supported: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2021/Database_Server.html

Is the table a temp table?  Temp tables not supported for the SyntaxFromSQL(): https://docs.appeon.com/ps2021/bk06ch02s02s07.html

Best regards,
Armeen

Hi Shayne;

  Is this the only place in the App where the  SyntaxFromSQL command is being used or .... is the SyntaxFromSQL used in other places and these work OK?

Regards ... Chris

So far every SyntaxFromSQL encountered results in an error.
